The Ghost

With my back up against the wall, nowhere to run I thought it was over. I then slipped through the wall to another dimension as I was thinking "What?" I then realized what my purpose in life was, I was a ghost. At the time I didn't realize how great my life was now, all I could think about is how it all happened. After a big blow to the head it all came clear again what happened.

I was 15, fearless, strong. I had a weakness off thinking I was untouchable. As my friends brought me to Guatemala for my 15th birthday I had found the giant Guatemala sinkhole. With my fearless self I had no choice but to go for it. I had gotten a parachute and jumped the end was near, my life had been transferred to a ghost where now I live my life to the fullest.

The Tell-Tale Heart

What is wrong with this man? In the short story "The Tell Tale Heart", a man who is nameless sneaks into another man's room and waits an hour to kill him. The unknown man had somehow killed this man without any weapons or finger prints showing. He then took the dead man and put him in the bathtub of the room and cut of all of his limbs and buried him under the floorboards. So is this man insane?
In many minds this man is insane, and in my mind he is insane. To be insane means to be mentally deranged or utterly senseless. This unknown man has proven that he is insane not only for killing a man and cutting off his limbs for no reason, but for also telling everyone and repeating I am not insane. Another symptom of being Insane is to be in denial. The unknown man was in denial the whole story and also was crazy when putting the body under the floorboards while laughing. When the man was laughing it wasn't a humorous laugh, it was an evil victorious laugh. Evil is also another way of saying insane, to harm innocent people is cross the line and crazy. If you were to call this man sane, then it would be sane to be cannibal or any other way of killing others.
Many other people might say it is completely normal in human nature for a person to die or be killed; didn't we have a war to stay free from other countries? The man then is considered normal and is innocent, but what normal man cuts off the corpse of another man's body for the thrill for the excitement, for no good reason. There isn't a way this man can be innocent because of the harm and things he has done I believe strongly this man is guilty and is insane.

Patriostism response

If someone were to ask me if I was proud of my country I would have to say yes. I would say yes because of the steps we have made towards having a perfect country. Our country has maybe the best doctors and medication in the world, and the scientific research has been outstanding. Our country also has freedom. Our national anthem ends with the home of the brave and land of the free, what that means to most people is pride, and caring. Which is why I'm proud of my country.

Another Bad Day for Alex

It was a quiet day when a 16 year old, 6 foot 2 white male walked through the park. He walked down the street looking for a job when he saw the chocolate cake warehouse. As he walked in, they threw him out saying your kind isn't welcome here. Alex had nowhere to go besides his rock that he camped under for warmth in the winter. There was no good news for Alex.

Casey at the Bat

Would you be the bragger or the trash talker if you were the best? In the short story "Casey at the Bat" Casey is a very good baseball player, but his only problem is he knows it. He brags to his teammates and the other team about his talents. Then finally he steps up to the plate with runners in scoring position with two outs. It's either Casey is the hero, or Casey fails his team. As the first pitch went by Casey watches it as it's a strike. The next pitch went by as the umpire yelled "Strike two." Casey then had the fire in his eye, he was so mad he couldn't control his anger as the umpire yelled "Strike three."

In the story I noticed the Exposition of the story when there was a runner on first and third and Casey was up. It was then because that is when the characters were truly introduced and the problem was stated. The problem was they were losing and they needed to score. Not too long after that point the author wrote about the rising action. The rising action was when Casey stepped up to the plate. The rising action of a story is just when some good comes. When the hero makes a play or good has power over evil. It was when Casey came to the plate because Casey was one of the better players and they hoped he could save the day and win the ball game for them. That's when he was at the point where there was no return. Also known as the Climax. I noticed the Climax when Casey got frustrated and mad at himself. After strike two Casey got so mad he took himself out of the game mentally. He quit on his team which lost the game causing the falling action that happened right after and during the second pitch. I thought it was during the pitch as well because his mind set was so bad and his anger took himself out which started to go downhill very fast which is why it is the falling action.

Papa's Parrot

Have you ever been lonely, felt unappreciated? In the short story "Papa's Parrot" by Cynthia Rylant, the father "Papa" had ran a candy shop with his son Harry for many years, well one day Harry decided the candy shop just wasn't good enough or cool enough for him. Harry then spent all of his time with his friends at school and at home. Papa then had nobody to hang out with at the shop, he was very sad and lonely. So after that he bought himself a parrot to keep him company, and it was then Papa's Parrot. Harry had no idea what kind of stress is father was going through at the shop. Then one day Harry's father had a heart attack, they had to rush him to the hospital in an ambulance. Harry meet up with his dad at the hospital and offered to run the shop until he would return, but what Harry didn't know was that the parrot knew his father almost better than Harry. Harry went to the shop the next day and saw the parrot, the parrot kept repeating the same things… Where's Harry, Where's Harry, I miss him, I miss him. Harry soon became annoyed and started to yell at the bird, but then Harry went to the ground in tears knowing that the bird was right his father needed him. So it's true even if they get mad at you, parents always want you around.

Everybody might say there parents don't care, they nag too much. Well you might not know them as much as you think. In the short story "Papa's Parrot" by Cynthia Rylant Harry the son of Papa use to be the average kid who would hang out with his dad at the Candy shop, but now he's Mr.Cool as some would say, but what really happen is Harry has grown apart to hang out with his friends, but what Harry didn't know was how lonely his father actually was. Papa was so lonely he bought a parrot that became Papa's parent. That parrot ended up replacing Harry which made Harry realize what damage he was causing his father.

So have you ever felt that lonely feeling when something has replaced you? Harry didn't know the damage he was causing his father so when the parrot came in to papa's life it replaced Harry. That's the feeling of replacement, it's the same around the country in activities and hobbies. In a football game a starting quarterback could lose his job to the back up and never play again. Luckily Harry realized the sense of erg in his mind to know what became right and what became wrong to his father.

The short story "Papa's Parrot" by Cynthia Rylant had a very touching ending because of the fact that Harry's dad has gotten out of the hospital and Harry is working with his father again. His dad and his mom helped him through his whole life, getting him in school, getting him working with his dad, and showing him what loyalty truly means, so his parents gave him almost everything. Harry now has the best life that anybody would dream to wish for, having not much money and a dad with a heart attack the family had something that nobody else could have as much of besides there true loyalty and caring.

Champs

Champs is a very good restaurant that I have gone to over the last few weeks. They make this one sandwich that I get every time because nobody else has it. The buffalo chicken sandwich, I like that sandwich because it has chicken which I love and it has warm rolls that it's on and I love the buffalo sauce.  Which makes the buffalo  chicken sandwich the best.
