Phoning a Dead Man

How would you feel if your parents burned everything in your room while you were away somewhere? In the book Phoning a Dead Man by Gillian Cross Hayley's older brother John, went away to Siberia to do a demolition job, but the mystery was unknown when only his ashes came back. John's fiancĂ© Annie Glasgow had spectacular information about the death that didn’t add up, Annie also said how she wanted to go to the place where he died for herself, but the only problem with that was she was in a wheelchair so someone had to go with her and that was Hayley. When Hayley flied to Siberia with Annie they discover something very interesting in the Siberian Forest they meet this strange man that was covered in ticks, and looked a little dangerous. They had found out that the man was there working on the same thing as John. Later on in the book they find out that he had something to do to it but that would be stated once the cops arrived. When the cops arrived the answers all came out, he was the murderer, and he was after john because in their college they happened to be roommates that never got along at the point Annie was silent not one word. That is why love is needed in the human life.

In the book Phoning a Dead Man by Gillian Cross the purpose was to show that you can have the expensive toys and such, but you really only need love. When Annie was about to get married that was the only thing she dreamed about. When they finally got engaged in the book they agreed to go everywhere together, and do everything as a team. Well before they got engaged John had a job he was going to do the whole time, but when he went to do his job there was no coming back. Annie was crushed, but that’s what life is all about, life is like a roller coaster everybody has their ups and downs that’s what love brings you. Sometimes it may be that it destroys you and crushes you, but you need to have it for a healthy life.

Just like having the purpose and meaning of the story, you also have to have the plot-line to really enjoy the book. The plot-line to Phoning a Dead man was a Comedy, not because it was funny, but because of the relations between the characters, the story became a Comedy style of writing. It had to be a Comedy and no other because even though when they were about to get married, that was Annie's first true love so when John died that had her experience what she had coming into life. The story was also a Comedy because the book was realistic, the tragedy plot-line is also realistic, but it was a Comedy because Annie hadn't seen her grandma ever, not once. So when John died an unexpected happiness had soon arose, her grandma a day later came to spend the rest of her life with Annie so she can once see her and to feel a part of a wonderful life, which made the book fall right into Comedy.

The book Phoning a Dead Man is a great love story, that would encourage everybody to see what wonders head on in life. The book also showed how easy it is to lose something no matter how close it was to coming true, so the book was also trying to say live life to the full because you never know when it can end or just begin.

The Hostage Final essay

"He's there he's there I hear him" no he's not, it's silent. You think it's silent believe me he's here. Bam, Bam! What was that, "just run!" Do you still hear him," Bam! He's everywhere where do we run, into the bank they have many  officers there. In the book The Hostage by W.E.B. Griffin, there is two major  life lessons that W.E.B. Griffin tried to emphasize the phrases play don't watch, and eat or be eaten.
In the book The Hostage the phrase play don’t watch would refer to monkey  see monkey do, when W.E.B. Griffin stated play don't watch he meant react  to the action, don't think. The book The Hostage is an FBI action book, when Betsy Masterson, wife of J. Winslow Masterson, deputy Chief of Mission  at the American Embassy in Argentina is kidnapped everybody hopes that the  kidnappers will realize that they kidnapped a diplomat's wife and let her go.  Then when they realize the kidnappers won’t give her back two characters  Charley, and Winslow have to fly down to Argentina and get her back. The books passion was to show what can be done when the panic in the air has hit the sea (page 198).
The next life lesson was eat or be eaten, in the book since it was an up tempo FBI book. When they had to go and look for the kidnappers in Argentina it was a solo battle. They had to split up to sneak into the kidnappers ware house and in that point of the book nobody was in team mode. If somebody died they happened to die if you were in the situation you went for the championship, for survival.
The Final thoughts on the book was to critique the slow quiet parts of the book. In the book there was many pages over 500 and in that sequence of pages there were repeated words, and the same objective and people. For about five chapters sometimes the book would have the dry taste where you don't want to read it, but there was no grammar or spelling errors.

Regional's

This year after a couple dramatic loses in the Woodlen Conference, the Pewaukee Pirates have now made regional's. It has been a remarkable year with injuries and illnesses being recovered, but we now have our full team and are in action. We have a match up against Catholic Memorial, this has been a hard dedicated team and with some ups and downs they matched up with us. The test has come and now it's up to who wants it more, because they have both proved that they deserve to be here. The Pewaukee Pirates have two seniors David Reese, and Tony Trahan. If the pirates were to lose that would be their last game at Pewaukee. So it has come down to the two teams winner advances to the next game closer to the championship.

Advance Cuisine

My friends and I have a little thing we like to call advance cuisine also known as Lunch. We call it this because there is somebody that lunch is his best class. Not that lunch is any harder than basket weaving 101, but it is probably our favorite class. It's almost like a mystery box what mysteries will it have today for us, as in a better joke out of a friend or the lunch menu today there will be something different maybe better.

Double or Die

It's cold, dark there's too many strange noises. Maybe it's a dog or maybe it's a coyote. Whatever it is please don't come near me. "AHHHHHH" I was jabbed by a point object I started to run faster, and faster. It was about 9 o'clock who knows when there's going to be light outside, and who is this guy? "James, James" my name was being shouted what's going on. That sounds like my father's voice "James, are you out there?" What if my father's in danger, but they could kill me I can’t go out there. James had to make a strong decision which is why this was a good book. He had to make a lifetime decision that is a bug part of a lot of our lives. That decision fit the whole purpose of the book to take a chance and hope for the best.

The book I finished reading was Double or Die by Charlie Higson a James Bond adventure. This was a stage of the young James Bond the one who didn't always think things through, didn't always care about what his mission or plan was. Well in this case James is in a life or death situation when his father could die or if he goes to save him he could die, but it could be a trick how does he really know that was his father?

In the Book Double or Die by Charlie Higson there tends to be some life lessons that catch the eye before most other books. Just think have you ever had a family member be threatened? Has it ever happen when you were 13? Has there been a moment when your adrenalin kicks in? While he was hiding in a bush with his father being threatened to die would your adrenalin kick in? There has been a moment in my life where my adrenalin kicked in. When I was 10 there was a criminal in my neighborhood stealing everybody’s alcoholic beverages and everybody’s jewelry. Then they went into my friend’s house when I was there and we ran out the door into the street and called his mom while running.

To finally give the final opinion of the book would be to critique the style of literature. Charlie Higson does not really right about a mode, he writes with enthusiasm towards his topics and writes with tragedy and romance plot lines but he doesn’t

The Royal Stop Sign

Authors Note: The story was composed by a group collaboration

There was a stop sign in the middle of the rode. So when I was driving I almost ran into it. It was bright pink with green polka dots. What a strange looking stop sign I thought. Once I got home I told my everybody at my house that i saw a stop sign. They all called me an idiot, and laughed. As I went crying my eyes out in my room I heard my mom saying something I couldn't quite understand it though. She was whispering into the phone. She was telling them I was a "Loser". Whatever I thought, I'm Jesus, no one can ever hurt my feelings, so I went outside, to play on the swings, but then he realized that this was like 50 B.C. So there wasn't any swings. But since he was Jesus he just invented it right there in front of the Dinosaurs.

The Alphabet

In the English Language there are 26 letters that is most familiar as the alphabet. I have always wondered why the alphabet is the way it is. Why do people always spell words the way they do, I mean who came up with the word tree, and why did they choose to spell it like that. Then they have the Spanish alphabet, why is there such thing as different languages. In Spanish the word tree is not tree its el arbol. So why is everybody in the world not on the same page, and who came up with the languages and words?
